£90,000 from Benefact Trust is helping a charity to visibly transform the lives of offenders and their communities by continuing to develop its ‘Stories of Hope’ programme.

Many prisoners are locked away in a prison cell, with little to no hope of ever seeing the outside world again. This is where Junction 42 comes in. The charity delivers faith resources that can bring about transformational rehabilitation. These resources offer a glimmer of hope and a path towards redemption, inspiring a positive change in prisoner's lives. 

 Loneliness, isolation, and hopelessness is the reality for thousands of prisoners who are receiving in-cell prison faith resources from Junction 42 every three months, with a reach of 23% of the prison population. Junction 42 supplies a staggering 80,000 packs annually, ensuring that more and more prisoners have access to these life-changing resources.

 This initiative is a true testament to the power of faith and its ability to positively impact the lives of those who may have lost their way. With access to these resources, prisoners are empowered to take control of their lives, turning away from a life of crime and towards a brighter future filled with hope, purpose, and possibility.

 Thanks to our funding support, this transformative initiative of providing in-cell prison faith resources to prisoners will continue to develop over the next three years. The impact of this initiative is immeasurable, and Junction 42 is grateful to have the support of Benefact Trust in its mission to make a positive difference in the world. 

 One prisoner who received the charity’s ‘Stories of Hope’ pack, shared: "The Stories of Hope pack saved my life. When I came into custody, I was suicidal. I really wanted to take my life. I was given The Stories of Hope pack at Reception. Opening it and doing some of the activities saved my life. The packs should be given to everybody coming into custody."
